meet my stubborn snow
grappling, it just knows one day
and then it’s no more
Had a great St. Patrick’s Day at work yesterday. Bit of Irish Soda Bread for lunch. All I needed. Festive party with good music. Sometimes I feel like a fly on the wall. I overheard a quiet toast in memory of a resident we lost a few days ago. Whatever you enjoy in life - do it.
I remember past St. Patrick’s Days - working in NYC (a lifetime ago)
At 530 5th Avenue they handed out a green carnation when entering the building. Street vendors had green bagels. The green line down 5th Avenue. One year I had a job interview across town and that meant crossing the parade :) I didn’t get the job for a magazine, and maybe it’s all for a reason. I could be a fly on a whole other wall, or maybe I wouldn’t be here at all.
There’s a housekeeper here named Maria
with a smile she’ll sing her idea
She makes rooms squeaky clean
and I can’t say anything mean
or she’ll make a mess out of me-a


I like the "rambling," and am a big fan of limericks, too.
